The article "Since 2006, an Age Shift in the Senate Brings a More Youthful Feel, found at http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/01/us/politics/01web-hulse.html?_r=1&hp=&pagewanted=print , states that the senate is growing younger. They are wearing more "up to date" clothing and talking about their children instead of grandchildren. This goes right along with our new 47 year old president. The twenty-five newest members of the senate are on average, seven years younger than the senators they are replacing. The Constitution states that the elegibility age for a senator is 30 years old.
